I’ve had a long fascination with order Insectae. I’m not entirely certain what specifically makes them interesting, other than their seeming randomness of motion, and variety of forms and colours.

I especially find order Lepidopterae interesting – the moth family being a predominant focus of my photo opportunities.
I was fortunate to catch a small tarantula:

Photos like these are difficult to shoot close-up with an auto-focus camera. I have an older camera with manual focus, but its resolution isn’t as good. I only use the older camera when my tripod is at hand. I’m pleased to have succeeded as well as I have.
